    Offers an outstanding collection of yoga information. It is a highly recommended resource for all yoga students and teachers

    A website resource run by YogaUK and is dedicated to the practice of yoga in the United Kingdom. There are links to yoga teachers, organizations, and events from all traditions.

  • Yoga Universe
    An extensive subscription based website that "brings the world of challenging and consistent yoga to your living room, office, dorm, hotel or wherever you spend time online yoga classes."

  • The Cardiac Yoga® Program
    A professionally presented system of health promotion and stress management tools which focuses on the special needs of heart patients and their families. Seminars and workshops for heart patients as well as yoga teacher training programs are available in Cardiac Yoga. This site and its programs are highly recommended.
     
  • Children's Yoga
    An absolutely beautifully done website offering yoga resources for children. Please be certain to click here if you have children.

  • Deep Peace Yoga and Meditation
    Todd Norian and Ann Green are both excellent teachers (presenting seminars nationwide) and are living a true yogic lifestyle. As a musician, Todd and Ann have produced a wonderful collection of meditative music CD's and tapes that are worth your investment and are highly recommended. I am honored to say that I was Todd's first yoga teacher and he has gone on to be highly recognized in his own right.

  • Dynamic Systems Rehabilitation (DSR)
    Created by physical therapist, Mathew Taylor,MPT, RYT,  Dynamic Systems Rehabilitation (DSR) offers innovative approaches to traditional rehabilitation. The DSR approach addresses the physical, mental/emotional, social and spiritual systems that are unique to each individual. The purpose of is to develop both theory and practice that addresses the healing process through multiple, complex systems.   • The Expanding Light
    One of the truly authentic Hindu based yoga retreats and yoga training facilitates in the United States. The teachings at The Expanding Light are a harmonious blend of Western and Eastern spiritual disciplines based upon the teaching of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.

  • Iyengar Yoga Resources
    Provides a platform that collects resources related to Iyengar yoga. Although not a replacement for the official website of BKS Iyengar, it does provide additional information that is not available on their site. Included are links to other general yoga sites.

  • Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health
    Located in Lenox, MA, near Tanglewood in the Berkshires, Kripalu is the largest center for yoga and holistic health in the United States, offing a diverse number of experiential yoga, self-discovery, holistic health, and spiritual programs. I taught several workshops at Kripalu and am totally impressed by the warmth and openness shown by management and staff. I highly recommend Kripalu for any of their residential retreats.

  • Mobility Limited
    Founded in 1994 by Shoosh Crotzer as a production and distribution company of videos for people with special needs. I "discovered" Swoosh when I read a fabulous yoga article she wrote for Inside MS Magazine.

  • More Yoga
    A comprehensive site offering an abundant array of supplies for yoga, mediation and relaxation.

  • Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy
    A combination of classical Yoga and elements of contemporary client-centered and body-mind psychology. With trainings and seminars nationwide, founder Michael Lee and Phoenix Rising have trained and certified over 800 people worldwide.

  • YoYoga
    An extensive website by teacher, author, and massio-therapist Joan Budilovsky. Contains: Asana For The Month, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Tips, Massage Tips, Vegetarian Recipes. Yoyoga Bookstore, and Seminars.

  • AR, Fayetteville:  The Arkansas Yoga Center
    offers a full complement of yoga classes, seminars, and television presentations. I encourage you to take a look at their beautifully well constructed website.

  • AZ, Tucson:  The Yoga Connection
    Highly recommended for anyone living in or visiting Tucson. This is an exceptionally well-rounded yoga facility incorporating daily classes, Yoga Teacher Training and periodic seminars (they invited me for a weekend seminar November, 2000). The Yoga Connection also offers a broad array of instructional tapes, and books.

  • CA, Ojai Valley:  Suza Francina is author of The New Yoga for People over 50; A Comprehensive Guide for Midlife and Older Beginners and teaches locally in Ojai. Please see her website for a number of wonderful yoga and ecology links.

  • CA, Napa:  Yoga in Motion
    A unique approach combines Pilates training, Yoga studies and Therapeutic Massage in a serene, urban environment. Offering a full-range of classes, seminars, and body work, and based upon owner Susan Branum's background and training, I highly recommend Yoga in Motion for those traveling to and living in the Napa region.

  • CA, San Francisco Maryon Maass Yoga-Meditation
    Maryon Maass is an experienced Yoga instructor, Feldenkrais Method Teacher ®, and Qi Gong teacher. Her studies take her to India regularly to train in the subtleties of the body and the mind through the observation of the breath.

  • CA, San Francisco Jamie Lindsay Yoga
    Jamie Lindsay spent two years in the Advanced Studies program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco, and  received a Certificate in Spiritual Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto.  He is a compassionate and demanding teacher, and has a deep faith in the radical healing potential present in yoga practice, especially when engaged as a daily discipline.

  • CA, San Mateo: Center for Healing and Global Evolution offers classes, programs and workshops which promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual awareness in an appropriate and supportive environment for healing and growth.

  • DE, Rehoboth Beach and Silver Spring , MD:  Silver Lotus Yoga Institute is directed by Susan Hamadock and offers multi-level classes and teacher trainings in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Silver Spring, MD.

  • FL, McIntosh:  Neil Crenshaw, teaches yoga in McIntosh, FL, 18 miles south of Gainesville on Hwy. 441. Neil has a Ph.D. in science education, is a certified ACE personal trainer and is a certified yoga instructor with the American Aerobic Association International and the International Sports Medicine Association.

  • FL, Miami:  The Yoga Institute of Miami
    was co-founded thirty years ago by Bobbi Goldin and Sam Dworkis as an Iyengar Yoga Center. Many of its students have gone on to become nationally recognized teachers in their own right. In Bobbi's capable hands for many years, Bobbi and her well-trained staff offer daily classes, seminars, teacher trainings and periodic retreats on Florida's Sanibel Island. 

  • FL, Miami Beach:  Synergy Center for Yoga and the Healing Arts is a non-profit yoga center "dedicated to creating world peace, one person at a time via yoga." With an extensive faculty and class schedule, Synergy also conducts a number of various activities and Trainings.

  • IN, Bloomington: Midland Yoga Center: Classes in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini yoga uses special breathing patterns in conjunction with complementary dynamic postures to loosen the spine, increase the blood circulation, activate the glandular system, and restore the nervous system. Mantras are often chanted in class as a means of sound therapy.

  • IN, Indianapolis:  All People's Yoga Center offers a wide variety of daily classes in differing yoga styles and traditions, and is staffed with a wealth of highly qualified and experienced teachers.  The center also offers an outstanding yoga teacher training program.

  • Maryland, Washington DC & Northern Virginia
    Personal Training Fitness Programs

    Personal Trainers for CFR provide the most extensive variety of fitness exercise weight loss programs in Maryland, Washington DC or Northern Virginia areas.

  • MD, Frederick:  Flowering Heart Yoga
    is the creation of Simone Heurich. As a lifelong student of yoga, Simone is certified in both Anusara Yoga and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, among others. Classes are offered six days a week in and around the Frederick, Maryland area.

  • MD, Silver Spring:  Silver Lotus Yoga Institute
    is directed by Susan Hamadock and offers multi-level classes and teacher trainings in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Silver Spring, MD.s


  • MD, Timonium: Susquehanna Yoga
    is a well-equipped and staffed studio reflecting the best concepts in teaching yoga in both classic techniques and modern approaches. It is a fully equipped Iyengar studio with ropes, whale and horse - and is the ONLY Iyengar studio in Baltimore! Their website also has a comprehensive web site of yoga studios/teachers and a yoga boutique.


  • MI, Detroit:  Namaste Yoga offers a broad diversity of classes for both beginners and ongoing students in the metropolitan Detroit area. This nationally registered school provides an 8-week program for those individuals who seek more in-depth understanding of some basic concepts of yoga beyond those offered in regular classes. An additional 12 weeks of study are designed for the pursuit of teacher accreditation.

  • MT, Bozeman Bozeman Yoga Ed Scheterlak is the founder of the Bozeman Yoga Center .  He has been a yoga teacher since 1995.  He completed teacher training for beginner and intermediate students with Richard Schachtel at the Center for Yoga of Seattle , and has studied with many of the best Iyengar teachers in the country.  Ed is a Yoga Alliance RYT (500), their highest recognition; and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

  • NY: New York City Free to be Yoga is founded by Elana Berger who teachers yoga to children of all ages throughout New York City. I enourage you to see her wonderfully constructed website.

  • OH, Cleveland:  Buhmi's Yoga & Wellness Center  Buhmi (Harriet Russell), Director, was given special recognition by Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Of thousands of certified Kripalu Yoga teachers in the world, only ten, including Buhmi,  were selected to receive the highest certificate of training and achievement as Professional Yoga Teacher. Buhmi's Center offers a full complement of daily classes, seminars, and teacher trainings and is located in the King James Plaza, Westlake Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland near I-90 and I-480.

  • PA: Northampton, Lehigh Township: Compassionate Yoga - Creating Peace, Health & Harmony.
