Weekend Yoga Seminars

Standard weekend seminars are designed to include students of all levels; from beginners, to mixed groups, to advanced practitioners. During a weekend seminar, the foundations of ExTension & Recovery Yoga are first explored. Appropriate for any and all levels of flexibility, strength, and endurance, the foundations allow for further exploration without pain or strain. Meeting every students' needs, standard and non-standard yoga exercises are dissected and put back together in a way that meets everyone's needs, from beginners to advanced students: No one feels left out.

Throughout the weekend, participants are continually asked to consider two fundamental questions: What is Yoga and How does it feel? Through a supportive and caring environment, your basic assumptions about yoga exercises are often confronted and interestingly enough, the more experienced you are, the more you are challenged.

Residential Retreats

From time-to-time, I am asked if I would do an extended residential retreat or training in a full-board facility. Although I no longer organize retreats and seminars myself, I am usually willing to accommodate such requests. Please email me to discuss the proposed location and type of retreat desired.

Yoga Therapy Seminars

Typically given over a ten-hour weekend, Yoga Therapy Seminars are specifically designed for licensed professionals including massage therapists, nurses, physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and yoga teachers who are legally entitled to make hands-on contact with students. Here we explore the remedial application of yoga and specific hands-on neuromuscular therapeutic techniques which are designed to jump-start a chronically injured or ill patient's ability to do yoga.

Travel Event FEES for Seminars, Teacher Trainings, and Retreats

For standard seminars, teacher trainings, and retreats, my fee is the "industry" standard 70-30 split, subject to a minimum $3500 for ten teaching-hours (add $350 per teaching-hour in excess of ten-hours) plus travel surcharge if any. Standard Seminars are ten hours in length and are typically given Saturday and Sunday with five hours each day; three hours each morning and two hours each afternoon.

Some organizers prefer starting the seminar Friday evening (two hours) followed by five hours on Saturday (three hours in the morning and two in the afternoon) followed by three hours Sunday morning.

The number of teaching hours for Retreats and Teacher Trainings is negotiable.

The 70-30 split is calculated after all of our organizational expenses have been deducted from the total amount collected. Organizational expenses include my fee, all advertising, room rental, and my transportation including travel surcharge. There are usually no accommodation expenses as I prefer to stay in a private home (non-smoking, adults-only please).

In order to support your workshop, and when time permits, I am willing to do publicity; i.e., radio, television, or newspaper interviews, at no additional charge.

Please be sure to review your deposit requirements.

Private Lessons or NeuroMuscular Therapy During Seminars

During seminars and retreats, I am frequently asked to give private yoga lessons or therapy for those in chronic pain. I schedule such appointments when time permits. Although I receive $80 per appointment, you as the organizer may charge your people more and keep the difference between what you charge and my fee (see Yoga Therapeutics below).
